Eligibility

AWS mantra is to promote Welders with adequate experience and knowledge to Welding inspectors. So the society is flexible when it comes to the educational qualification..

If you are in the welding profession with 2 to 5+ years of experience, then you qualify for this certification.

High school Pass outs or Diploma holders or Engineering graduates all qualify for this certification if they have enough and relevant experience in this field and aspire to become an Inspector.

Seminar Pattern

Seminar's will be conducted in an Air-conditioned conference hall by leading Industry professionals and veteran instructors,covering AWS QC1:2007 standards.

3 days of the seminar will be used to cover the "Fundamentals" part of the examination that covers all the facets of welding processes and NDT examination.

2 days will be used to cover the "Practical applications" part of the examination. This will expose you to actual visual inspection tools, guages and weld replicas and further to the acceptability and rejection criteria of sample weldments based on the sample codebooks.

1 day will be used to expose and refresh your skills in comprehending the welding code books,including qualification of welding procedures.

Every part of the seminar session will be backed up by extensive review and testing sessions. Lunch and refreshments will be provided during the complete duration of the event.

Exam Pattern

* All Exam questions are multiple choices and objective types

Certification and Seminar Fees

Examination fees: 900US$ payable to "American Welding Society USA" in the form of DD

Examination fees: 900US$ payable to "American Welding Society USA" in the form of DD

Seminar fees: 18000 Indian Rupees favoring "Betz Engineering & Technology Zone" in the form of Check or DD, subject to realization.

Registration process

All the registrations are to be completed preferably before April-5 for Event-1 at Chennai, and before April-22 for Event-2 at Jamnagar to avoid any late fees. Upon completion of registration process, candidates can collect their copy of course and study materials and AWS QC1:2007 certification handbook. This will help you to start your preparations immediately.
